Booking your dog’s December stay in Ballito

Holiday spaces go weeks ahead. Here is how booking works, what it costs, and what to do if your dog has never stayed with us.

December is the busiest month of the year for dog boarding in Ballito. Families drive down to the coast, the schools close, and everyone needs somewhere safe for their dog at the same time. Spaces run out early.

If you already know your travel dates, this is the month to sort it out. Here is how booking works at our dog hotel, and what to think about before you phone.

Why December books out so early

We keep our numbers small on purpose. Fewer dogs means calmer playgroups and proper attention for every pup. That is good for your dog, but it does mean we cannot simply squeeze in more guests when December arrives.

Most of our holiday spaces go to families who booked weeks ahead. By the time the schools close, the answer is usually no.

The short version: if you are travelling in December, phone us now. A 50% deposit holds the space and the rest is due when you drop your dog off.

How a booking works

  1. Tell us your dates. Phone or WhatsApp 063 130 4956 with the day you leave and the day you are back.
  2. We confirm the space. We will tell you honestly if it is already gone.
  3. Pay 50% to hold it. The balance is due on arrival. We take card or Zapper.
  4. Book a Meet & Greet if your dog is new to us. It is free, it takes 30 minutes, and it makes the real stay far easier.

If your dog has never stayed with us

Do not let the first night away from home also be the first time your dog sees the place. Bring them in for a free 30-minute Meet & Greet before December. They meet the caregivers and the pack in a controlled way, and we tell you honestly how they settled.

Dogs who already know us arrive somewhere familiar. That is the single biggest thing you can do to make a holiday stay calm.

What a day looks like while you are away

Our hotel is cage-free. Your dog is not shut in a run and let out a few times a day. They stay with the group, inside and outside, and they are watched around the clock.

  • Daily walks and time on the rooftop deck
  • Water play and sandpits on hot Dolphin Coast days
  • Meals on your dog's own schedule, using the food you pack
  • Round-the-clock supervision by trained caregivers
  • 24-hour security inside a gated business park

What it costs

Boarding is R280 a day for one dog, R420 for two and R560 for three. Dogs from the same home stay together. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. If you need to drop off early or fetch late, that is R30 per 30 minutes.

Every price is on our rates page.

Which dogs can stay

  • Small breeds only, from 4 months old
  • Vaccinations up to date, including kennel cough
  • Spayed or neutered if older than 6 months

Book before the rush

Every year the same thing happens: the people who phone in late November get a space, and the people who phone in mid-December do not. If you know your dates, tell us now, even if nothing else about the holiday is booked yet.

Tell us your December dates

We will check what is left and hold your space with a 50% deposit. No dates confirmed yet? Book the free Meet & Greet first.
