Doggie daycare in Ballito, made for small dogs

Dogtopia is a small-breed doggie daycare in Ballito. Your dog spends the day playing, learning and resting with a trained caregiver watching the whole time. No crates, no cages, and no being left alone in a yard.

We keep our numbers small on purpose. Fewer dogs in the building means every pup gets real attention, playgroups stay calm, and nobody gets overwhelmed.

What a day at daycare looks like

Dogs do better when they know what comes next. Every day follows the same shape, so your pup settles in quickly and knows the routine by their second or third visit.

• Arrival. Drop-offs happen on the hour, so your dog joins a calm room instead of walking into chaos.
• Play and social time. Supervised play in size-matched groups, indoors and on the rooftop deck.
• Lunch at 13:00. We feed your dog their own food, which you pack for any stay over four hours.
• Rest. A proper nap in a quiet space. Tired dogs who never rest get cranky, not calm.
• More play, then home. An afternoon session before pick-up, so they leave happy and ready to sleep.

Why we only take small breeds

A Chihuahua and a Labrador do not play the same way. Size differences are where most daycare accidents come from. We take small breeds only, which means every playgroup is matched for size and play style, and the room stays safe.

We look after dogs from 4 months old, from Chihuahuas and Toy Poms to French Bulldogs and Poodles.

What daycare costs

You can drop in and pay for the hours you use, or buy a pre-paid bundle. Bundles work out cheaper per hour and suit regulars.

• 2 hours — R120
• 4 hours — R200
• 8 hours — R350

Bundle packages start at R500 for 16 hours and run up to R2,800 for 128 hours. The full list is on our rates page.

What your dog needs before their first day

• Up-to-date vaccinations, including kennel cough
• Spayed or neutered if they are older than 6 months
• At least 4 months old
• Their own food packed for the 13:00 lunch, if they are staying longer than 4 hours

Start with a free Meet & Greet

Before you book anything, bring your pup in for a free 30-minute Meet & Greet. They meet our caregivers and the pack in a controlled way, and afterwards we tell you honestly how they settled in. There is no cost and no obligation.

Grooming while they play

Our grooming partners, Collar & Comb, are right next door. Book a bath or a cut and your dog can play with us before or after their appointment instead of waiting in a crate. After-grooming care starts at R30 for 30 minutes.

We are at Unit 2, Preash Park, Garlicke Drive, Ballito, opposite Hirsch — an easy stop on the school or work run. We look after dogs from Ballito, Salt Rock, Umhlali, Sheffield Beach, Zimbali, Simbithi and Tinley Manor.
