Dogtopia is a cage-free dog hotel in Ballito. When you go away, your dog boards with us instead of being shut in a kennel run. They sleep inside, they are watched around the clock, and they carry on with the same routine they know from daycare.

Most boarding kennels put each dog in a run and let them out a few times a day. We do not work that way. Our dogs have two cage-free areas, one inside and one outside, and they move freely between them with the group.
We do have 12 pens available. We use them when a dog needs quiet time, is nervous, or is settling in — not as the default.
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. If you need to drop off early or fetch late, that is fine — it costs R30 per 30 minutes.

A 50% deposit secures your booking and the balance is due when you arrive.
Spaces are limited, and they go quickly over school holidays, long weekends and December. If you already know your travel dates, book early — by the time most people call, the December spaces are gone.
Holiday spaces are limited and fill up months ahead. Tell us when you are travelling and we will tell you honestly what is left.

If your dog has never stayed with us, book a free 30-minute Meet & Greet first. It is much easier for a dog to board somewhere they have already visited and liked.
Most of our hotel guests already know us from daycare. That is the easiest way to board a dog — they arrive somewhere familiar, with people and dogs they know, instead of a strange building full of strangers.
You will find us at Unit 2, Preash Park, Garlicke Drive, Ballito, opposite Hirsch. We board dogs for families across Ballito, Salt Rock, Umhlali, Sheffield Beach, Zimbali, Simbithi and Tinley Manor.
